Year 11 Psychology students have been learning about neuropsychology, exploring how neurons work within the nervous system.

They’ve enjoyed practicals measuring receptor sensitivity and reaction time, and have looked at images of neurons stained with fluorescence so that they can be seen under a microscope.

Recently the students used lollies to make models of neurons. Students had a great time picking from 1 of 3 types of neurons: motor, connector or sensory neurons.

Sounds like good ‘food for thought’.
